This is the first extra large basket I’ve ever done! It measures 16 inches in diameter and is 5 inches deep. Isabella’s mommy and daddy are going to be able to fit a lot of goodies in this basket for her!

Isabella’s liner is done in a soft pink chenille on the inside and a soft white cotton for the exterior liner. The outer liner shows off Isabella’s name in french knots and a white and ivory bunny on the left. Of all the hand embroidered details I loved being able to do the little butterflies,birdies, and the hidden hot pink lady bug the most (can you find it?)! The front of the liner shows off a plethora of flowers in silk ribbon embroidery. From roses in shades of pink, turquoise, and pale yellow, tulips in yellow and aqua,  lilies in purple and pink, wild flowers in lavender and hot pink, lily of the valley and lots more!

Isabella’s liner has side ties of a soft pink wired ribbon with mini puffballs along it’s edges. The outer liner is also trimmed in mini white puffballs.

I just love this liner! I’d been wanting to try out some wheat stalks and cattails with a little boy bunny for a while! What a perfect color combination for the sands and light khaki’s of this liner. The inner bottom of the liner is a soft furry darker khaki, the inner fabric that extends a bit to the outside of the basket is a light sandy khaki linen fabric, and the exterior liner is a wonderful white muslin.

This basket is a gift so I can’t show the whole thing-don’t want to ruin a surprise! But, the name is done in all french knots (love it!) and to the name’s left sits a little boy bunny holding a little birdie. The bunny sits amongst cattails, more birdies and some wheat stalks. To the right of the little boy’s name the scene continues with more cattails, a tree with leaves done in silk ribbon, more birdies and some baby birdies in the nest! Underneath the tree sits a little squirrel holding an acorn with a few more acorns scattered about. The side ties of the liner are a gorgeous fawn velvet. The exterior liner bottom is trimmed in chocolate mini puffballs and the upper part of the exterior liner has a trim of french knots. These hand embroidered details were a joy to do! What fun!

Oh my goodness! I swear I think my favorite thing is to be able to make such fun coordinating items! Not only do I love the girlie basket and liner but to be able to make the mini bunny with her own mini basket! Way too much fun!!!

This custom liner for baby Alli Claire has a pretty hot pink and white floral design soft cotton inside and a soft white cotton on the outside. The exterior liner features a mostly white hand embroidered bunny holding flowers and surrounded by lots of flowers as well. Alli Claire’s name is done in a dotted wrapped stitch in the same hot pink color. Some of the flowers you will see on Alli’s liner include daisies-mommy’s favorite, tulips, roses, lilly of the valley, snapdragons…hmmm..have I forgotten anything?! Oh, I love the purple wild flowers! And don’t forget the little turquoisey blue birds perched on Alli’s name. One is bringing her little bunny a daisy!

Alli’s basket is also hand painted a soft turquoisey aqua and the liner has fabric side ties of the same hot pink and white patterened fabric as the inner liner.

And, oh, the little mini bunny…I think my favorite part is her fabric rose on the back of her dress! Her dress is made of the same fabric as the inner liner of Alli’s basket. The mini bunny’s dress (like Alli’s basket) is trimmed in  mini white puffballs and has gathered soft pleating on the front bodice falling away to a whimsically long sundress.I can just see the little bunny twirling around in her dress!  The bunny’s features are hand embroidered and she has a silk ribbon hot pink flower embroidered in her “hair” right below one of her ears. Little Mini bunny also has her own basket-of course! Her little basket is made of the same fabrics as Alli Claire’s as well, the white soft cotton and the hot pink printed fabric. The mini basket has a silk ribbon flower just like the one in the bunny’s hair right on it’s center front. The bunny’s tail is made of a soft white cotton yarn.

Right now little Alli is a baby-but I can just imagine the fun she’ll have playing with her little bunny and  mini basket when she gets older! Jelly beans will fit perfectly in it! The bunny should get a few treats, too, I think!

I loved making this special liner for baby William Roland-his mother’s name is Rosalyn (hence the roses!) and his father is a professional musician-thus the acoustic guitar! My favorite part of doing these fun Easter baskets and liners is being able to make them so personal for the child and family. I can only imagine the fun little “Liam” will have over the years collecting Easter eggs as he grows.

Liam’s liner is made of a soft sage gingham-inside and out. The outer liner shows off a little bunny holding a carrot as he sits under a small tree with dark green silk ribbon hand embroidered leaves. Underneath the tree hiding in the grass are several Easter eggs. On the right of Liam’s full name (Liam is his nick name!)-William Roland- is an acoustic guitar leaning up against the end of his name, then a rosebush showing off an array of red, yellow, and pink roses of different sizes. The rosebush also has silk ribbon leaves and some stems and rosebuds hiding here and there.  William Roland’s name is done in a dotted wrapped stitch in a warm chocolate brown. To the right and above the rosebush a light blue bird is in flight, and another little light blue bird is perched on one of the letters in William Roland’s name.

The basket’s liner is held together at the sides with brown buttons and loops of brown cording. The liner is trimmed in light blue mini puffballs and the upper part of the outside liner has a trim of coordinating light blue french knots.

These treats taste just as sweet as they look-and they are easy enough for a 5 (or 6 ) year old to make!

I use vanilla melts (from Joann’s in their baking section, Walmart in their craft/wedding area, or your grocery store), marshmallows (honestly buy the more expensive ones(or at least not the cheapest!), the cheap ones are usually smushed and don’t look nearly as nice when finished-and are more difficult to work with because they don’t stand up right!), and valentine colored nonpareils.

1. Melt vanilla melts in a pie plate (or a regular sized glass plate) in 50 second intervals in a microwave. Try not to over melt as they tend to get clumpy. The best melt is when it is just barely melted enough-they cover very smoothly and dry nicely.

2. Dip the top of the marshmallow into the melted vanilla melts, then dip into the nonpareils and place onto a piece of wax paper to let dry (harden). You can also set the marshmallow down and then sprinkle the tops of them with the nonpareils if you prefer.

3. Wait till they dry and voila! Adorable, too delicious and a perfect valentine treat!

Check out little Jamie getting ready for the Easter Bunny! I love to see that he is already enjoying his custom Coffey Creation!!! And check out the lashes on this cutie-ah, to have those myself!

Jamie’s liner is made with three different fabrics-a soft sagey green pill resistant fleece on the inner bottom part of the liner, a stripey fabric on the inner liner that extends out a bit and the exterior liner is a brighter sagey green that coordinates nicely with the other fabrics. The outer liner shows off a mostly white bunny hand embroidered with carrots and lots of Easter eggs hiding in the grass.  Jamie’s name is done in a wrapped dotted stitch of a warm brown to coordinate with the chocolate brown velvet ties on the sides. On the right of Jamie’s name is a tree with silk ribbon embroidered leaves . But, don’t forget the little grey puppy beside of Jamie’s name-just like Jamie’s at home! Hanging from the tree is a bee hive-you may have noticed the little bees flying across the liner above Jamie’s name. And, very fitting for spring, daffodils also adorn the liner on both sides in a soft yellow that also coordinates nicely with the stripey fabric on the inner liner. There are even a few cattails beside the bunny! The upper part of the outer liner is trimmed in chocolate french knots and the liner’s edge is trimmed in chocolate mini puffballs.

I so love being able to make such personal keepsakes for little guys and girls! To be able to include the family puppy just makes it even more personal for little Jamie! Have a great Easter Jamie!

Oh, look at this little sweetie with her birdie mobile! I love it! Hadley’s mommy got this gorgeous bedding from Serena and Lily-the Lola pattern-and wanted a pretty mobile to go with it. The center of the mobile is a flower in the same design as the flowers on the bedding, it has lots of hand embroidered accents, chenille puffballs and mini puffballs adorning it. The mobile has little birdies hanging down that coordinate with the bedding as well. Each hand made birdie has embroidered accents on it’s body, wings and head. Both the birdies and the flower of the mobile are made up of several different fabrics to coordinate with Hadley’s bedding.

Oh, I love this little chair for so many reasons! First of all, baby Addie-Adelle Josephine Russell- sits with her back to us on the main scene on the seat of the chair! This image is adapted from a beautiful picture that her photographer mommy took of her. (you can see Sandy’s amazing photos on her site here: http://summerlandphotography.com/ )The little pink dress, the bonnet with the ruffles-too adorable to stand! Then the little bunny stuffed animal that she is holding-this is taken from a gorgeous quilt that Addie’s grandmother (mommy’s mother) made for her! As are the little flower designs along the chair arms, seat rim, runners and the top of the chair seat back.

Also pictured with Addie are the two family cats-Quill, the long haired orange cat, and Lilly the grey, black and white tabby, as well as the family dog Colt.  There are several birds in the scene, lots of flowers, and an owl in one of the trees.  If you look closely you can see Addie’s full name “hidden” in the tree’s leaves on the left and her birthdate hidden in the tree on the right.

On the scene above on the seat chair back you see two “real” bunnies (I’m imagining that Addie loved her play bunny so much that it became real just like in the Velveteen Rabbit!), one bunny is meant to be Addie and the other is meant to be her big brother Mason-see how he is bringing her flowers? Oh, big brothers! This scene shows a dusky pinkish sky with a red fox sneaking a peak through the bushes of flowers. Hiding in the grass and flowers are a couple of field mice and in the trees are more birdies and another owl.

It was such a treat to do such a fun rocking chair for little Addie!  I can’t wait to see the fun pictures her mommy gets of her enjoying her special rocker!

This castle canopy is certainly fit for a princess-or a little prince! The canopy comes with 10 birdies that can be positioned wherever you would like them-on or off of the canopy, 4 braided closures (one for each panel), a mommy birdie with 4 eggs in her nest and a nest with 3 baby birdie hatchlings waiting to be fed!

The canopy’s castle measures approximately 3ftX3ft and the panels hang down approximately 7&1/2 feet from the 14 inch high castle. The castle and canopy are made of a beautiful tarragon cotton broadcloth, with windows and scrollwork quilted onto the castle portion. The castle is edged in a braiding made of the same fabric. The panels can be closed or held open with the braided closures, however you desire!

I envision this type of canopy above a little girl or guys bed-giving it a four poster look! Add to this look by having me hand embroidery your child’s monogram into the scrollwork!
