Brennan’s mommy LOVES orange and pumpkins! This set was custom made just for baby Brennan in honor of his mommy’s favorites. The mini blanket has a tree with silk embroidered green and orange leaves, the tree also has a squirrel holding an acorn sitting atop one of the branches, and one down below in it’s hollow base. The framing of the white part of the blanket is done in a forest green dotted wrapped stitch and each corner shows off a little pumpkin with silk embroidered leaves.  The center of the blanket shows off Brennan’s monogram in a dark brown. The outer edge of the mini blanket is a soft khaki and the blanket’s back is in the same white cotton as the blankets’ center front.

This special gift set includes the mini blanket, handprint/footprint kit, deluxe custom keepsake box, coordinating onesie and hat, and handpainted personalized notecard.

The Handprint/footprint kit comes with three personalized notecards, 5 embellished watercolor papers (in case one or two get smudged), two pots of coordinating paint, and a sponge brush. The embellished water color papers are to put the little guy’s handprints or footprints on. They each have a handpainted pumpkin or squirrel with leaves and or acorns to coordinate with all of Brennan’s fun things!

The onesie has a little squirrel holding an acorn and several pumpkins along it’s collar, and a fun orange dotted wrapped stitch around the cuffs. The matching hat has a larger pumpkin on the left, a few acorns atop a forest green dotted wrapped stitch leading to a squirrel sitting atop a pumpkin holding his own acorn.

All of Brennan’s gifts were contained in a personalized custom keepsake box. Brennan’s box shows the same squirrels and tree scene as on his mini blanket, and his full name is framed off to the side in a fun font.   A handpainted personalized card was also included in little Brennan’s set.

I can’t believe little Lyla just turned 2!!! Lyla’s mommy loved this fabric-who wouldn’t?! It is too darn cute! This little dress was made in the same style as a dress that Lyla’s mommy loved. I recreated the dress in the new fabric and added a pretty white crocheted lace to the sides. I decided that a purse and hair accessory were an absolute must!

With the left over material I was able to make a 6 month size swing shirt and boy pants. To purchase these items go to my Etsy shop.  Sorry, the little dress and purse are unavailable.

Ahh, little boys and summer-what could be more sweet? This adorable gifts set comes with a mini blanket, a coordinating onesie and hat, a footprint/handprint set and a hand painted personalized notecard.

The onesie has a crab and some bubbles along it’s neckline and a crab crawling up the bum on the back of the onesie! The hat has a few crabs and bubbles to match. The crabs are done in a light aqua with a darker teal a bit of lime green and orange.

The coordinating mini blanket has Lincoln’s name done in a dotted wrapped stitch right in it’s center. The framing of the blanket is a soft cotton fabric with blue and the occasional tan dot.The same material is used on the the back of the blanket. Mini blankets are the perfect size for new babies and later as lovies for little ones.

The handprint/footprint set comes with three notecards, 5 watercolor papers-with little hand painted crabs and bubbles on each one, a pot of coordinating paint and a sponge brush.The extra watercolor papers are for-oops-smudges of little hands or feet, or to share extra prints with family members and friends. Each notecard has Lincoln’s name or monogram on it and a label that says 3 months, 6 months and 1 year old, to keep track of just how small those little feet were.

This gift set also includes a hand painted personalized note card with Lincoln’s name on it. The crab was painted in the same colors as the blanket, onesie and hat, and as the handprint/footprint cards.

This sweet little 12 mos onesie is adorned with hand embroidered shamrocks for a special little guy or gal. The shamrocks are made using a  modified lazy daisy stitch and a few straight stitches for the stems. French knots finish off the trio of shamrock’s border. I love this fun orange and white stripey print! This little girl dress (sun dress for summer or pair it with the cute onesie for fun fall wear!) was made out of a repurposed men’s shirt. Talk about fun “Green” wear! The dress front shows off a bit of lace with an adjustable orange gross grain ribbon tie. The back has the original “button down” portion of the mens shirt with a slightly longer back. The Carter’s onesie has matching orange french knots along the neckline and cuffs. The onesie is a size 18-24 months, the sundress can fit up to 2T or be used as a swing halter top up to a 3T size.

The matching Orange Kitty has green french knot eyes with orange outlines and an orange straight stitched and back stitched nose and mouth.

The Orange Kitty Mini Blanket has a kitty appliqued in the center with hand embroidered accents. The kitty is placed on a soft white cotton and framed in the orange stripey material, then framed again with an outer border of white accented with white french knots for added texture.

The Orange Kitty Bib has an applique to coordinate with all of the above! The mini blanket and bib are meant to personalized with your child’s monogram or first name.  Sorry, the little dress, onesie, and hairband from this set have sold! All the fun Orange Kitty items were made from an orange and white striped repurposed men’s shirt! What fun it was turning one men’s shirt into so many girly little items!! My personal favorite, though are the bloomers! Girly bloomers with fun springtime blooms to match the fun dresses! The blooms are made of the orange and white striped shirting material and the stamens are hand embroidered orange and blue (to match the little Polo insignia) french knots, the green stems are done in a stem stitch and the little leaves are done in backstitches.  The little ruffly dress shows off the original “Polo” insignia and  is approximately a 6-12 month size. It has elastic on the shoulder ruffly straps, the back of the dress and under the arms. The halter dress has a ribbon that can be tied at the back of the neck or on one side or the other in the front (or back for that matter)-the halter used as a dress will fit sizes approximately 12-18 months or as a halter swing top from sizes 2-3T. The back of the halter dress shows off the original buttons of the men’s shirt, and the back of the dress is a bit longer than the front of the dress due to the nature of the Halter dress itself.  The orange kitty has hand embroidered eyes, nose and mouth. The matching bib also has hand embroidery accents and velcro dots to allow for a growing little girl!  The two coordinating hair bands are both made of elastic bands for stretch and comfort. This collection is one of a kind as I do not use patterns to make my childrens clothing.

I love this little outfit! It reminds me of the times of Kings and Queens. The pants are made of a sage velvet with an elastic waist band. The shirt is made of an ivory cotton on the sleeves and sides, with a sage velvet inset right in front. The ivory sleeves have hand embroidered accents of a tawny light brown chain stitch at the shoulders and at the  cuffs. The ivory part of the bodice has more chain stitching around the top and the bottom, the sage part has pin tucking at the top neck line and a wrapped back stitch in ivory at the hemline. The shoulders, the back middle, and under the arms of the shirt have elastic gatherings for a snug fit and to allow room for growth. This little peasant style blouse and pants outfit was inspired by a little princess named Gwendolyn-how fitting is that?! I refashioned this small women’s turtleneck (green!) for an adorable 4 year old and paired it with a sweet pair of pants with floral embroidery to coordinate (not green!). The pants are made with an elastic waistband for easy on and off and all seams are finished using a serger.  The flowers on the pants are worked using a lazy daisy stitch and french knot stamens, the viney pattern is made using a modified stem stitch.  The coordinating fun springy hat is also hand embroidered with a similar floral pattern using soft turquoise, sage green, coral and light tawny brown coordinating colors. These fun appliques and pants were made from Dad’s old pants and shirt. I love the fun pants with the original pockets from Dad’s pants-how cool is that?! Appliques are fairly easy to do, try Light Steam-a-Seam 2 double sided fusible webbing (available at JoAnn Fabrics). Trace or draw your shape onto the paper, peel off top layer of paper, attach sticky part to fabric, and cut out your shape. Iron as directed. You really don’t need to do any embroidery, this stuff works really well! I added some straight stitching, back stitching, and french knots to add a bit of dimension to the animals. The first set( with the puppy) are made from the mens pants. These kids pants are great for toddlers-no zipper, just elastic!  So, easy up and easy down. The second set ( with the dinosaur) are made out of a mens t-shirt and are soft and comfy, perfect for PJ’s! Then, oh my-the purse! Something for daddy’s little girl! The four large pockets are perfect for making pockets inside and on the outside of the purse. Two more pockets are made from the placement of the pockets themselves, then add a side pocket for glasses or a cell phone (velcro closure), fun “what are those tiny pockets for?” from the pants added to the side, and I even used the adjustable belt from the pants to make the purse handle adjustable also.  I embroidered a backstitched “H” for Hailey, a few french knots to fancy it up, and a magnetic closure for the middle so you don’t lose your fun stuff, and she is ready to go!
