What little girl wouldn’t love this fun bunny and blanket?! The bunny’s dress matches the material of the blanket (also check out “Hotpink Sundress and Hat!). The back of the blanket is made of an ultra soft cuddle fleece-the perfect little blanket to carry around and snuggle with. The front of the blanket shows the fun Girlie Bunny and the back shows her back-including her pom-pom tail! The blanket is framed using a wrapped back-stitch. The bunny on the blanket is a hand made applique with embroidered detailing, using a straight stitch and french knots. The bunny stuffed animal has a matching dress that is also detailed with french knot embroidery.  Make your little girl’s day with these items AND have them personalized just for her! Her name will be embroidered on the blanket under the bunny using a chain stitch and the front of the Girlie Bunny’s dress with her first initial! Easter Egg Craft

These Easter Eggs are easy to do and will last forever! The wooden eggs can be purchased at your local JoAnn Fabrics store.  Let your little ones paint them up, seal them with an acrylic sealer, attach a hook and ribbon, and voila! A keepsake to decorate with every Easter!  One tip-when putting out the paint for your child keep to the same color family. For example, put orange, yellow and white on one plate, then pink, lavender and white for another, blue, purple and white for another, green, blue and white, etc. Mixing the yellow and orange with the other colors will turn your egg a nice shade of brown…which may be realistic-but perhaps not as pretty! Another thing children seem to want to do is to mix all the colors before putting it on the egg, encourage them to put the colors on the egg THEN mix it!  You can also print on the finished egg with a permanent marker your child’s name and the year.

Hats and Shorts from Dad’s Shirts!

These shorts and hats were made from Dad’s old dress shirts! What fun! The hats are soft and comfy and have cool accents like buttons (on the white hat) and button holes (on the blue and white hat), the shorts have elastic in the waist for maximum comfort. These guys are ready for fun in the sun! Want your own pair? Contact me at shannon@coffeycreationsforkids.com!

Whale applique and fringy shorts

img_4814Watch out Daddy-I used a few more of your shirts! I used pieces of  three different shirts to make this whale applique.  The shorts were also made out of one of Dad’s shirts. Instead of a traditional hem, I stay stitched the bottom of the shorts to give them a “fringy” look.

Anchor Applique and Pleated Cuffed Shorts

img_4812This anchor applique was cut out from another of Daddy’s old work shirts. (I just hate it when they come home from the cleaners with holes in the elbows! Not really….) I cut out an anchor shape and attached the anchor to a t-shirt with fusible webbing. The pleated, cuffed shorts were made from the same shirt. I added buttons for fun detailing!

Seahorse Applique/Pants

This seahorse applique and pants were made out of Dad’s recycled workshirt! I cut  a seahorse shape out of Daddy’s old workshirt and used embroidery floss to add detail. I attached the applique to the  long sleeved onesie using a fusible webbing. The pants are also made out of Daddy’s old shirt and have a white bias trim on the bottom.

Apple Applique

img_6400 Your child will be the apple of his teacher’s eye with this shirt!  This apple is made of a soft red pill resistant fleece. The leaf is a sage green fleece. The apple and leaf were attached to the cotton shirt using a fusible webbing then outlined in embroidery floss. The stem of the apple is embroidered as is the word apple.
